![]() ![]() State of Decay 2 launches on PC and Xbox One on May 22nd, 2018. Especially seeing as how it’s at a budget price, I can’t wait. Undead Labs have worked hard to make more than just small improvements on the original game and look to have used that as a prototype for a much grander vision. ![]() It’s still a couple of months away, but all signs are promising for State of Decay 2. It was close to the perfect simulation of zombie apocalypse survival but just slightly fell short in a couple of areas. While the original State of Decay was an engrossing and pretty damn fun time, it had some sloppy moments that took me out of it quite often. There’s better incorporation of stealth, a far deeper approach to hierarchy, and vehicles that don’t control like you’re drowning in syrup. The original game was an out-an-out indie graphically, but State of Decay 2 has a nice polish to it that shows off the extra dollars in the production coffers.Īlong with impressing visually, the gameplay trailer above shows off the game’s mechanics, which look to be expanded on greatly from the first. The first noticeable thing is just how much it improves on the first. It’s been a long time coming for State of Decay 2 fans, but with its release coming up soon, we finally have a good, in-depth look at the gameplay.
